REPTILES OF THE IBERÁ WETLANDS
There are many reptiles in this area and they can be surprisingly easy to see. We have 2 types of Cayman - the Spectacled and the Broad-snouted - the former can be seen regularly at Reserva Don Luis. In late January we also had a good sighting of the Broad-snouted Cayman.

We also have quite a selection of snakes, some of which are very venemous, including the Yarara (Bothyrops alternatus) from the Viperidae family, and the Coral Snake (Micrurus frontalis) which is from the Elapidae family.

2) Coral snake - Micrurus baliocoryphus - Vibora de coral
Non venemous snakes include the Yellow Anaconda -Curiyu - Eunectes notaeus
