We're delighted to have a strong population of strange-tailed tyrants at the reserve. So much so that we've adopted these beautiful and endangered birds as the symbol of the Trust
We have not yet found Myotis albescens (Silver-tipped Myotis) at the reserve but it is in the province of Corrientes and is considered common. It is a small bat from the family Vespertilionidae and it is insectivorous.
The dorsal fur is usually frosted and the venter is very pale, sometimes white. It has the usual Myotis dentition and widely spaced medium sized ears with a long tragus. The uropatagium has a tiny fringe of hairs along its border.
